INTRODUCTION
APL is the Principality of Liechtenstein’s first and only hotel and tourism management school, and was founded by Dr. Peter Tromm, Bernd Listner and Jake Doron. Together they hold many years of experience in schools management, and education in hospitality and other areas of study.
APL offers a Bachelor of Arts in International Hospitality Management validated by the Institute of Technology Tralee, Ireland (ITT). The program fully complies with the rigorous quality standards of the Bologna agreements for European higher education, offering in total 240 credits (ECTS). The progression path system enables students to exit the degree program at any stage with a certificate, a diploma, or a higher diploma.
Included are paid industrial training placements held in selected hotel & tourism companies, with average monthly salary of $1500. This is done in cooperation with our leading industry partner “smti”, an international hotel consortium with hundreds of partner hotels in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and more recently in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Additionally, students may take advantage of extensive placement opportunities in Ireland during and after the completion of the Bachelor degree at ITT.
The increasing demand for educated and well-trained young and dynamic managers will provide students with a multitude of international career opportunities. Upon graduation students will enter the professional world with a solid business background as well as a comprehensive understanding of this industry.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Year 1 – Semester 1 at APL
Semester 2 Practical Training – Certificate in Hotel and Tourism Operations
Year 2 – Semester 3 at APL
Semester 4 Practical Training – Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management
Year 3 – Semester 5 and 6 at APL – Higher Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management
Year 4 – Semester 7 and 8 at IT Tralee – Bachelor of Arts in International Hospitality Management.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Complete application form
• Motivation essay: 1- page essay describing why you wish to study hospitality management and why at APL
• 4 passport pictures
• Copy of passport
• Copies high school certificates
• Copies of other secondary studies followed (if applicable)
• For non – native English speakers, a proof of English examinations: TOEFL: 500 or 173 computer based, IELTS: 5, Cambridge First Certificate: Grade B.

• Also you will need financial documents proving that you can support yourself in Liechtenstein (e.g. bank statement)
