LANGUAGE COURSES IN GERMANY
INTRODUCTION
Learn German and experience cultural diversity at the same time! You have a great possibility to complete your language programme at one of the schools in Berlin, Munchen, Chemnitz, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Freiberg, Augsburg and other cities of Germany. In all the schools you will be taught in a motivating and target-oriented way. The teachers are always available to answer your questions, and to provide individual advice in all the areas. Tuition is based on the four main functions in language acquisition, i.e. listening comprehension, pronunciation, reading and writing, and includes vocabulary extension, phrase structure, grammar skills, role play, conversation targeting the enhancement of the linguistic expression, group discussions covering up-to –date topics such as society, culture, and politics. The schools offer German courses in 6 levels in accordance with the European Common Frame (CEF) from A1 (Elementary level) to C2 (Advanced level). You can find the correct course level by taking a diagnostic placement test at the very start of the programme. Courses usually begin every Monday at 9.00. You determine the length of your course and, once the course has begun, you can extend your stay according to your wishes. Lessons are held from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 12.50. After lunch you may continue with two addition units from 13.00 to 14.30. Selected schools can offer the entire course programme in the afternoon. Special arrangements may be met for individual lessons. Also there are different types of courses, varying in duration and intensity: • Intensive Group Course (20 lessons per week, in a group of 5-15 participants) • Two-person lesson (two students with similar skills are taught by one or more teachers) • Individual lessons (a single student is taught by one or more teachers) • One- to- one tuition in a teachers family or with an external teacher • Family lessons • Tandem (the “Tandem” consists of two students, native speakers of different languages). Schools teach German for different purposes: • General German Courses • Business German • Exam Preparation Courses • Etc. Upon completing of each course you receive a certificate indicating attendance and course content. At the end of each level you can, if you wish, sit an internationally recognized German examinations (TELC).

The whole amount of the program should be paid before having visa issued! The following are not included in tuition and accommodation fees: travel, for example to/ from host family accommodation, registration fee (20 EURO), visa insurance, personal and health insurance and consular fee etc.
